Our Downtown Durham facility is designed to help Black male youth incubate their talent and skills for long-term career success. This physical location serves as a place for like-minded peers and mentors to learn from each other thanks to a welcoming environment and focus on creativity and self-expression.

We hire our alums to operate the space and teach job-seeking youth transferrable skills in emerging industries in Durham.

Offerings in the Center pull from previous Durham Success Summit workshops, programs, and events, drawing from our history of what worked and what didn't in order to fast-track Durham youth towards success. We teach critical skills (how work is done, how we interact with others) and "hard" skills (specific abilities depending on chosen career trajectory) to help set up our Scholars for success.

The focus on hard skills ensure that Black male youth are supported as they work towards their goals in their chosen fields, while the focus on soft skills will better equip them to navigate the nuances that come with workplace interactions.
